For our customer from the energy sector we are looking for an UX Researcher (f/m/d) starting in Feburary.
Background
The Group IT has recently introduced new profiles, namely User eXperience profiles, in the implementation of its projects portfolio to shift from system centric towards user centric paradigm, manage uncertainties of new lines of business, deliver products reaching their target at a lower cost and objectify successes of a product. We set impulses by making innovative ideas and technologies accessible to our customers through test environments, proofs of concept, and demonstration models to drive the right products forward. To proceed with the project, we need experienced external support in UX research.
Responsibilities
- Lead UX research activities and document it in the customer Group Research repository
- Consulting on goal definition and hypothesis formation
- Analysis and interpretation of eyetracking / usability test data
- Prepare and animate workshops on functional framing, ideation and co-design with business and users, or even on an ad hoc basis for user tests and focus groups
- Collect user needs and feedback throughout the project by implementing appropriate research methods (on-site observations, interviews, user tests, surveys, literature, etc.)
- Create personas through user research and data
- Define the right interaction model and evaluate its success via measurable criteria
- Identify business processes and use cases, define and formalize user journeys or make recommendations for improvement to existing journeys
- Create storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas
- Present ideas, concepts and design solutions to various stakeholders
- Communicate design ideas and prototypes to UX/UI Designers and Developers
- Actively participate in broader UX Chapter and Product Team activities such as feedback and knowledge sharing sessions to ensure common UX standards

Profile
- Data analysis
- Experience with Tobii devices and software (beneficial)
- Technical eyetracking knowledge
- Ability to create lo-fidelity wireframes in Figma and user flows
- Proficient in design software (Figma) as well as presentation software (PowerPoint, Miro)
- Ability to use the research tool Condens is a big plus
- Able to write processes, documentation and presentations
- Experience within the energy sector and Familiarity with technical jargon and willingness to work in a technical environment is a big plus
- Ability to work effectively within a matrix structure
Necessary competencies (must-have):
- Language: German mandatory (native of fluent), as well as professional efficiency in English
- Proven experiences in design thinking in context of agile projects
- Strong practices of qualitative and quantitative research methods
